What's the car you're getting? They're pains in the arse, I hate spending money on them. Got myself a new car today, a bung arse standard VT Commodore station wagon, don't even have cruise control lol, I have to actually use my foot to drive! It's ridiculous. :haha:. Good part on that is I've got 4k left over, so if I can refrain from blowing it all on a Streamer Stage II (which is effing temping) I'll be in Melbourne in two weeks, I'm stoked!
Did you get to check out Bass Centre when you were in Melbourne? I get mega GAS every time I step in the door. Any plans to go back any time soon?

No real injuries, I was a bit funny for a while after it, heaps and headaches and general queasiness but it's passed now, back got thrown out a bit but it was screwed before then anyway. Hopefully heading up to NSW next week to pick up a Subaru Outback I've been eyeing off. So if all goes well I'll have a nice leather interior to accidentally burn with cigarettes. :haha:
The Jazz, it was advertised as used, at about 700ish less than they seem to cost new, but I'm almost certain it was NOS. There wasn't a mark on it and it even still had all the plastic on it. I got it about March last year and the serials puts it about late '09 to early '10. So yeah, dunno what the deal was there. Didn't buy a case, it was shipped in the Fender Japan gigbag (which are really awesome by the way, nice and slim but still really well padded) and double boxed.
So are you kinda torn between a '62 and a KSD at the moment? Was cruising OzBass earlier :p:.

Hey mate, how are you? Quick question, how did you go about ordering from ishibashi? Isn't that where you got your 75 from? I'm looking at trying to get a 62RI Jazz but I've heard from somewhere you possibly can't order from there anymore to be imported into Aus.

Hey man, sorry for the late reply. Been a busy beaver going back to work and trying to find a new car and all that fun junk.
I used Ishibashi's eBay store for the JB75. Heaps easier than trying to get in contact with them via the used section on their website. Last time I tried that it took them about 3 weeks because they get so busy. eBay store reponse time is about 48 hours. Haven't heard anything about them not doing international orders anymore, don't reckon it'd be true...

Shame you put your Ashdown rig as a feeler on OzB, what do you think of those VS cabs? I'm not really feeling the Warwick Pro I have anymore and thinking about getting a 1x15 and a 4x10

Whoops I posted my reply on my own profile lol.

Yeah I know, I thought I would've at least had a few comments on the ad by now, people loved it at the Melb GTG. The VS cab is pretty decent, I don't think they do one in a 410 though, the VS are meant to be more vintange configurations, I think there's a 112, 212, 115 and 412. For what I paid for the VS it's wicked value for money but probably not really a true "upgrade" to your Warwick cab. After the GTG I've got a thing for neo stuff, those MarkBass 210s you can list with one hand and no effort, a 410 would be a piece of piss to lift and they sound just plain awesome too.

What are the R. Cocco's like? Thinking about grabbing a set of SS since the nickels are out of stock

They're damn awesome! Bright and snappy, they cut through a mix really well. Think Roto 66s but kind of.. Cleaner sounding and they're a lot smoother on the hands too, mine have been hardened by a year or so of exclusively playing 66s though so it might be different for you. They're by far the nicest strings I've ever used. I got mine off US ebay for I think... $38ish shipped. From these guys.

I may have found a place where I can get that Hartke at around $500 brand new, if I can get it at that price I will feel more comfortable getting that than a second hand one. Thanks for the help in the Ozbass thread though, muchly appreciated. I'll let you know how it goes though

Sweet deal dude, I'd go that way myself. I was considering a LH500 and a Hydrive cab before the Mesa/Ampeg popped up, the price was too good to refuse. Be sure to post a NAD in the Bass Forum when you get your hands on it. I might have a couple of NBDs comming up pretty soon.

you play WoW? AND from WA?

Yeah! I haven't played wow in about 2 months though, I'm pretty hooked into Aion at the moment, it reminds me of the old WoW days.

I spent a lot of time raiding on WoW and it's really disheartening to work so hard to get certain pieces of gear and what not, when 3 weeks later Blizzard nerfs all the fights, and every seconds person has the same gear as you. It never used to be like that.

I play a horde druid on Dragonmawn named Fiesal, as well as a Deathknight named Dyerseeve.

I also play alliance on Frostmane, mage named Fiesal, paladin named Mullholand, and a hunter named Poole. I've only bothered leveling the hunter though :p

Yeah, the nemesis I tried was probably a more versatile amp, but they only had a 120w in stock. Besides the Randall nailed the tone I was after, though it will be a bit of an effort to get more than a metal or rock tone out of it.

hows that new randall treatin ya?

Pretty good. It's amazing the things sound when played through a better amp.
I'll be stuffing around with the settings form another week or 2 I reckon, but I've got a great metal growl happening atm.
