I dont think there's another EQ in the same quality/control range. It's a good investment, unlike an OD or a Wah which you only use with a certain style or song, this pedal can be used with any style and any amp.

Haha, Thanks then, I know what my next gear will be, thanks for your help.

Mids? I'm interested in it, I love mids... and sometimes scooping for Pantera, Metallica .etc And the KK one might save me buying two.

Unfortunately, there's no GC in the UK, but some sites sell them pretty cheap.

Would you say there's any better 10 band EQs for the price? If not, I'll (hopefully) ordering soon.

Great review on the MXR 10 band.

But I have to ask:
How much more bottom end will it give out? The one on my Randall RH100 is lacking :/
Do you know how different this is from the Kerry King signature one? (Also, from MXR)

Not quite yet, I'm waiting till around Christmas when I get some money. But I am actually thinking that it might be the best value. Can it give me nice, warm overdrive? I imagine it can, it has that classic/modern switch plus more, so I should be able to tweak it quite well, yeah?

I'm being recommended the Digitech Hardwire. It looks pretty cool, apparently it's real good. I dunno though... we'll have to see. I always found Tubescreamers quite appealing, but I won't pass on this pedal if it's as good as people say it is.

Alright, that is good to hear! You've been a big help! How's that Bad Monkey OD? I'll be getting an OD as well, and I have heard good things about it, although I was looking at a TS9 or some variation of Tubescreamer...

Alright, excellent! Uhm, what about multiple pedals through the loop?

Oh, and what are some pedals that you can put directly in front of your amp rather than the loop?

Ah excellent. I've never used my amp's effects loop. How exactly do I make the EQ run through it? I've never really understood the loop; I might make a thread on it... unless you can clear it up for me? :0

I see you have an MXR Ten Band EQ. I'm gettin' one for Christmas, and I'm hunting for user testimonials. How do you like it? Versatile? How much of an improvement on your tone is it?

Nice score on that recto head, I got mine for $800 used.

Ya.. the guys son never used it, buried in a closet for 5 years. How's that CE-2 pedal, I've heard good things about them, thinking of building one.
Its really nice, not overpowering just a very nice warm chours. Where are you getting the schematics for it? I'd like to build some pedals.

If you're in a major city i'd consider going used. It takes patience but you can find some gems out there. I picked up my recto used for $600. Sorry to hear about the amps.
