Man im really depressed ever since i heard he died. Mitch was part of a band that opened my eyes to music and taught me how to not just listen to it but feel it. Its hurts that every original experience member is gone now. I might have not been around when all experience members were alive and playing but i still feel the impact they have on music. The experience changed rock n roll forever and they changed my life. Another legendary musician passes as time moves by. Man i wish i had the chance to see Jimi, Noel, and Mitch jamming on the same stage, but there must be one hell of a reunion gig goin on up there.

Yea probably my first blog in months... and im actually excited about whats going on in music. Metallica has some good singles out which i think are their best stuff in years. Oasis has some new material out and i have to say liam sounds great and noel is a fucking great guitarist. And of course the gods of rock AC/DC is releasing a new album and their new single is fuckin great. I think right now music is going ina good direction with some new material from these guys in this world of jonas and cyrus.
I saw STP about 1 or 2 weeks ago and you wouldnt believe what happened. Me, my dad, and my sister had to wait until about 10:30, about an hour and a half after the opening act, for STP to go on. Weiland was a mess. He was making mistakes in songs and forgeting the lyrics.The band itself was good but scott looked like he was a junkie again.Those radio hosts opie and anthony were there and they said that backstage scott wouldnt come out of his trailer while the bass player yelled "cmon axl!" outside his trailer because a bodyguard would not let him come in. That shit is ridiculous because all of the people at that concert spent good money to see a band who is once again reunited, but instead we saw a fucked up singer that had to be carried by his band's great playing. The band was great and very tight but scott was all over the place. He kept trying to make apologies but his words did not make sense and all over the place. I wish he would get his act together for us and the new generation of fans

I like alternative, classic, blues, metal to be exact. Specifically nirvana, jimi hendrix, SRV, and Black Sabbath. My playing is getting better but im still a decent lead guitarist i just need material to work with. I would like to be in a band that has the sound of Nirvana, Zep, and Sabbath combined into one monster band. Also within my age group about 14 or early teens. Many people refuse to play real guitar because its to "hard" and of course you can live your dream by playing guitar hero with a controller that has 5 coloed buttons.We need to get off our asses.
Guitar is not hard if you have the drive, the determination, and the passion to really play your instrument whether it be guitar, drums, bass, or anything else. Believe me its gonna be hard but you are rewarded when you can play something and you see someone headbanging to your lick, drum beat, or bass line. Some people find it natural to play an instrument and good for them but for people like me we need to go into playing an instrument with the idea that as soon as we play we will not be hendrix.I went into that and it is almost my second year playing and i must say im impressed on how far ive gotten.
When i play "all along the watchtower" it is the best feeling in the world: that i have accomplished a feat i found impossible years before. When i play zeppelin i am amazed how far ive gone without stopping or doubting myself.

Fuck man after awhile dont you just get sick of all thses bands that are sucessful for no reason?
Music,not just rock, has gone to hell this decade. Think about it: rock music is now about image and not the music anymore. These commercial bands are not good at all they just have the typical pretty boy of the band that attracts its core fans:teenage girls and people who dont know what music is. So is rap(im not a fan but i can recognize the icons)Rap is also based on sexual images in their videos unlike the classics who basically got their fans with good lyrics and rythm.
Commercial bullshit is the world we live in now i can name a few shitty bands on one hand: nickleback, fall out boy, my chemical romance, avenged sevenfold, and of cource the allstar group of made for 12 year old politics green day(were good in the 90s)
At least we have the foo fighters, RHCP, AIC, and The White Stripes to cling onto in this vortex of shit. And soon STP will also do this for us.
We can only look to the classics to be our savior: Nirvana, Zeppelin, Hendrix, and the all important beatles as well as many others.i wish they were here to make music important again.
This is my first blog ever and i would like to point something out. People doubt the talent and influence of Nirvana when thet really shouldnt because everyone knows its there. We are all open to our opinions but that is comeplete bullshit. I mean if you have been to the website futurerockhall.com" you could see the idiots saying Kurt was pathetic and the band had no talent and they are the last alternative band to be in the hall of fame when they are so wrong. for example:
1) Kurt had an amazing voice and talent on guitar. He also is the most influential alternative icon of the 90s and maybe Alternative in general.
2)Dave Grohl is a complete beast on drums, he had so much talent and stands today as one of the most legendary drummers of the 90s
3) Krist Novoselic is a talented bassist and was perfect for the band and he is also an alternative icon.
I cant believe people even think that nirvana hadnt influenced this generation and werent talented. Maybe these guys wanna start a fight but i am ready to fight for the music that i love. Nirvana means freedom from pain and thats just what this band was for us.
