I'm not very good at guitar. I've been playing for a few months now, and I've totally got a few songs, others, not so much. I prefer electric although I probably play acoustic more because the electric guitar is my dad's and I have to go downstairs to play it, whereas my acoustic's in my room, so I don't have to leave it if I want to play it...
I've noticed a lot of people leaving really mean comments on some articles, saying how many bands suck. Well, if you insult bands, FUCK YOU. So what if you don't like them? Sure, you can say it, but you don't have to say they suck or whatever. You don't like their music or their songs, fine. But insulting the way they play and their talent is just out of order. Just cause you don't like them does not mean they're not good. Take My Chemical Romance. Lots of people hate them, but listen to their fucking music. Welcome To The Black Parade is fantastically well written, and you can tell how much work they put into their music. Also, take Fall Out Boy. Sure, loads of people hate them. And more people hate Pete Wentz. Now, I love Fall Out Boy, and I can admit Pete is a publicity whore. But just cause of that, you can't say that their music is crap. It's poppy and commercial and kinda cringy to some people, but also enormously catchy. If you listen to the lyrics (which I guess not many people do as this is a guitar website...), you can't say that they don't put work into it.
All these bands have to have something to make it in the mainstream. Their music can't suck that much.
