I've officially put the pen to the paper again and started writing another song, this one called "To The Sky". I wrote a portion (or all of it, who knows at this point lol) in my 45 min study hall yesterday. Here's a peek at what I've gotten so far;
The Heavens open wide A man watches his self-destruction Into his past he falls again Consumed by these old regrets The fire in his eyes Never let go of his past He watches the sky Heart burning with desire Charges the front The clouds illuminated with fire For all he knows Casts him into eternal damnation The day of judgment Arrives to his door A man robed in black On a skeletal horse Death. The greatest avenger Wisks him away This will be the last he sees the light of day They charge to the sky And all light blackens At last the man realizes He cannot escape Death’s embrace
So yeah, that's what I've got so far. It still needs quite a bit of work, but hey, it's not bad!
