You should have a teacher though. No video can actually help you learn to utmost perfection. I once heard it this way "Your teacher is like food, and other things are like vitamins. You need the food to survive and the vitamins will help you get everything you need." quote

lol. I did that last week. I have been playing for a year and a half and he's been playin' 4 30 odd years! I played 'hot for teacher' by van halen 4 him and he said 2 me, ' Why are you here?' and that was that. He was an idiot anyway. He tabbed so many songs wrong and all we got was 12 bar blues excercises. quote

90% of what I learned is self taught. You don't really need a teacher to tell you what to do anyways, because your priorities are different, and teachers often take it upon themselves to teach you from their blues-based background or their jazz-based background. That isn't bad if you want to be a diverse player, but more often than not, you'll be doing useless shit by postponing the playing of what you really want to play. quote
