Uncle Fonzie wrote on Dec 10th, 2007 4:58amWell what exactly makes you wanna venture all the way out to BC to go to school? quote |
Uncle Fonzie wrote on Dec 10th, 2007 4:45amMetalworks is a fancier place then Trebas with some better equipment, but every school you go to will give you the same education according to pretty much everybody in the industry. Trebas is about to re-locate from a good area (college st. & university ave.) to crack town, so I wouldn't completely rule out Metalworks. quote |
Uncle Fonzie wrote on Dec 10th, 2007 4:28amThat's pretty awesome. What studio have you been working at and which ones have you applied to? quote |
Uncle Fonzie wrote on Dec 10th, 2007 4:08amIf you really have that passion for music then I say go for it. It was definitely the best decision I ever made to go there because it was fun as fuck, the teachers were cool, and I was able to retain all the info taught there. The only drawback is that it's really hard finding work in the music business as an intern in a studio (which is what I've been trying to do for the past couple months) or at a live venue. quote |
Uncle Fonzie wrote on Dec 9th, 2007 5:45amHello my fellow Torontonian. Where abouts in the GTA are you from? quote |

Damone_player07 wrote on Dec 5th, 2007 2:16amHa, everything was canceled yesterday =) The snow was crazy, there was almost 2 feet at my place. I was shoveling in shorts too =D It was fun, and it may sound weird, but it was actually quite warm out, even though I was standing in snow in bare skin....haha. quote |
Damone_player07 wrote on Dec 4th, 2007 10:17amI just read the blog comment, and I agree on everything. They kicked me out cause I didn't fit the "theme" that they wanted...
a.k.a I'm not a male pervert who thinks that they're gods.
Thanks though! quote |
Damone_player07 wrote on Dec 2nd, 2007 8:01pmI'm not bad, just bought an outfit for my school's semi-formal in 2 weeks. I'm taking two girls, lol! quote |
Damone_player07 wrote on Nov 29th, 2007 11:16amHey, how's it going? We haven't chatted in a while. quote |
Damone_player07 wrote on Nov 14th, 2007 10:52amMhmm, I like the older ones a bit. I just bought This Business of Art, I really like it, and I've fallen in love with 'My Number'...if I could just learn to play it, that would be great, but I don't have a capo. And, thanks to that CD, I've discovered a tuning I like, and I'm writing a song with it =) It's all good.
Actually, it's more sweep picking that I'm having trouble with. But I'm working with it, since it's in the song I'm working on. I've yet to introduce it to my band though...the thought scares me cause they just wanna do covers of Nirvana and Guns 'N Roses.
My best friend and I think we're going to go up when she gets her license, which should be in 2 summers...or this summer, I should have my permit by then, and maybe my mum will let me. quote |
Damone_player07 wrote on Nov 9th, 2007 1:51amOh, and on what I think of the new album, The Con. I love it, it was the first I've heard of them, and I find it to be amazing. I can play the bass to 'Back In Your Head' pretty well, and the rhythm to 'Dark Come Soon', and I'm learning 'Like O, Like H' on guitar, it just sucks cause I can't learn 'The Con' properly without a capo, and I suck at alternate picking. quote |
Damone_player07 wrote on Nov 9th, 2007 1:39amNO FUCKING WAY!!!! You're lucky!! I wanna see them live so badly. I'm almost tempted to hitchhike up to Canada when I get good enough at guitar...But, I wouldn't have anywhere to stay, which sucks. I could probably make it to Montreal in a day or 2 if I could get rides in the right direction...maybe... quote |
Damone_player07 wrote on Oct 30th, 2007 11:14amI can't forget it...at all.
I've been playing Acoustic for almost 2 years, electric for about 2 years, bass for just over a year, and I've been playing 12 string for 2 months. I've been working with Tegan and Sara's stuff lately, cause I love the tuning they use.
I'm thinking Canada cause a load of my favorite musicians come from there, and from photos it looks REALLY pretty.
How far is Toronto from the States? quote |
Damone_player07 wrote on Oct 29th, 2007 11:33amWell, my weekend wasn't too bad...amazingly got my first kiss when my boyfriend stayed over *sigh* heh...heh.
I'm not sure if I'm doing anything for Halloween, I might just stay home again this year, or attempt to wreak havoc on a local trick or treat spot...I cant decide which, and I might have trouble getting supplies...
I only asked bout Canada cuz I'm not sure if I wanna move there or to England when I'm older.
How long have you been playing guitar for? quote |
Damone_player07 wrote on Oct 15th, 2007 11:34amEh, not too much, yourself?
What's Canada like? quote |
