Alright, So punk has been this staple in my life since early in my teen years. As I begin to grow up and be exposed to new styles of music and new people i begin to grow into new types of music. It used to be straight up hardcore punk rock, Black Flag, Circle Jerks, SSD, DOA, Minor Threat, and on and on. But now I am starting to get into different bands, Fugazi, Flux of Pink Indians, Defiance Ohio, and other names which i can't think of. These bands bring a radically different sound to a similar genre. Sub-class genres are created for them, but I don't really want to go into that because it is a pain in the ass. They are punk/hardcore but of a different type. Now it's not so much about exploding with rage and destroying what's around you, its about creating and improving upon what is already created. The complex sounds titillate my ear drums and run through my body with a vigor. Renewing my passion for music.
Alright, here to talk about the current mood of my life. Change.
Some say it is the only constant, although i'm sure many have witnessed some sort of stagnation within their own, or other's lives. Change is a a wonderful thing for our lives, we need to emrbace it instead of figthing it so much. Learning from our previous experiences lets us cope with the constant flow, this river of change. Every time we turn a corner, we rely on some of our past experiences to provide us with our actions. So learn, every time, everywhere.
The types of music we play does not define who we are or how we act. We are all individuals in a society of sheep and we all walk on. Our originality hinges on our propensity to become a self sustaining being. Without free thought we would be just like all of the other sheep, herded into the mass of shit that is propelled by the media. Media bullshit is worsening our already shitfilled society. Destroy your television sets.
