I'm a good ol' Canadian boy, and i can't seem to stay in one spot for too long. Some people call me a redneck, others call me a hippie. i really don't classify myself as either. I have equal attributes of both i guess.
I've been playing guitar for about 6 years. However in that span of playing for 6 yrs, there has only been 2 years of consistent playing. So technically i should be a way better guitar player, but i'm not.
I have also picked up singing and songwriting. If you want to compare me to a particular singer, it would be Jim Morrison. I got a low bassy tone, but i can really wail if i want to. I can sing some Zeppelin songs like "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" "Dazed and Confused" "Good Times Bad Times" "The Rain Song" etc. I really enjoy singing the blues, it's easy and sounds so damn good.
As for my songwriting skills, i really don't know how you would describe them. Since my main influence is the doors when it comes to singing and songwriting, it tends to be very poetic and weird.
Even though my main genre is classic rock, i love other genre's as well. I really dig the blues, jazz, different types of metal, folk, country, and some classical. As for stuff i hate, well basically anything that uses a drum machine. aka pop, hip hop, rap, techno, and disco. another genre that makes me cringe is bubblegum rock, i think its the most distasteful garbage on the planet!
Since I have a somewhat of an expensive hobbie. I do like to work and get payed so i can continue driving, eating and buying new things for my guitar.
I am currently not in any band. I really want to be in one someday, possibly get out into the mainstream, and become a modern day equivalent of a rock star.
That's really all there is to say bout me. If you want to know anything else bout me, your going to have to talk to me and get to know me. Sorry that's just life.
