About mhuckins
Check me out.

SO.
I started with piano when I was a babe.

Clarinet in grade 5.

Bass Clarinet and Bass Guitar in grade 9.

Bass Drum, Soprano Sax, Trombone in grade 10.
Didn't get far with the trombone. brass is "different".

Tenor Sax, Bari Sax, Alto Sax in grade 11.

Cello in grade 12.

Tutored during all four years of high schhol. The best thing I ever did was show someone else how to play. Whether it was my main instrument (Clarinet) or Standup Bass, I learned more than I taught.

and after nine years of studying music religiously, I am left with my Bass. I was in Marching Bands, Jazz Ensambles, Symphonic Bands, Musicals, Solos, Compititions, etc.

I never really played bass, because I had so much stuff to do in the bands I was in. but this time around, I mean it. and day by day, I'm getting better.

the best thing I ever did for my Bass playing was playing cello for a year. I highly recomend to any guitarist or bassist to enroll into a begining orchestra at their local community college.
