So I just got banned the other day. Whatever, I was gonna get banned any day by then. Now, I cant access the forum and I'm pretty fuckin bored. I just figured out I might have OCD. I probably have anger-management problems. I'm starting to develope a case of paranoia and a dose of depression. I'm also doubting that my sanity is quite in tact. I've been starting to realize this now and it's been doin great for my artistic abilities and songwriting in a way, I get more ideas. Oh yeah, I sent a friend request to the person that banned me, Carmel_l, does not seem logical, but ehh, I dont care.
If you really think about about it, Metallica and Megadeth are extreme alot like Pepsi and Coca Cola.
Pepsi has a little softer and sweeter taste to it while Coke stays strong to its hard taste. Metallica has gotten more softer from thrash to hard rock. While Megadeth has stayed true to its thrash roots and remains a hard thrash band.
Pepsi has been extremely commercialized. Metallica has been extremely commercialized.
Coke doesn't need to be commercialized, it is already at the top as one of the greatest soft drinks of all time. Megadeth doesn't commercialize themselves much, they dont need too. They are already upon the kings of thrash.
Pepsi and Coke have always had strong rivalries. Metallica and Megadeth have always had strong rivalries ever since Metallica sent Dave Mustaine on a flight trip in the middle of the night back to San Fransico while they were on a road trip to New york in a stolen U-Haul to record the Kill Em All album.
Besides this, I still worship both of them. I still like them both. Both Coke and Pepsi. Both Metallica and Megadeth. Both Kirk Hammett and Dave Mustaine (no homo).
guys i've narrowed down my new shred weapon to be down to two manufacturers: IBANEZ and SCHECTER. Like every other nonfamous musician in the world, I dont have the money for a frickin Gibson f**king SG custom, an Ibanez f**king Prestige, or a Shecter f**king Hellraiser, unlike some name snobs on the UG site, so bearing that in mind. I probably have in mind a used Schecter C-1 FR Vs. a good priced Ibanez with good quality and tone to play the hellraising music I love. guys please help me, I'm pulling my hairs trying to figure out which out of the two brands to give my good earned money to.
I just bought this bass full stack off of this guy for like 70 bucks and it is sweet running my guitar(not bass) through the bass amp. The only thing I have to do is put in the 15" replacement speakers(for the meanwhile I have a Peavy monitor hooked up, but it is still kickass.) The EQ has sooooo many knobs. It is so confusing but I cant complain, I just bought a bass full stack for 70 bucks. Does anyone else here like to run their guitars through a bass amp?
I dont see whats so special about Slash. I mean, yeah he's a great guitarist and all and he's been in some good bands, but I don't think he's really playing anything new. His ways of playing have been done before. Why doesn't he do anything new? I mean, look at some other guitarists like Eddie Van Halen, he brought tapping to the wonderful world of shred. Tom Morello uses some innovative equipment and I just don't think Slash really hasn't play anything I haven't heard yet.
In the near future, I am planning to get another guitar, but I am stuck between choosing a Dean Guitar or a B.C. Rich. As you probably already know, I'm really into thrash metal, so if you have any other suggestions on a axe, I would really apreciate it.
Yeah, St. Anger might have been not so good, but they are still a kickass rock band and I am looking forward to their 9th album and think they still have the potential put out a kickass album (I hope).
I was just wonderin, is there a way to combine Grunge guitar and thrash metal (or death metal guitar), because if i could, that would be really kickass. For some reason I can't picture it; like if Kurt Cobain(R.I.P) would of magically fused with Dimebag Darrell(R.I.P).
Anyone here obsessed so much with guitar that they guitar every where? Even the toilet? Just wondering if there was anyone obsessed guitar as much as I am.
