Haha, the rock band mic is what got me thinking, and what led to me buying the usb mic. Try using audacity. It's free and then we'll basically have the same recording set up, see if that effects the quality at all.

I just put a cheap usb mic in front of my cab and recorded some riffs, set the eq, and that's that haha. This is the best it's ever sounded, and I will definitely check the stuff out, as soon as I get back from the dentist >.<

I like Song 2 a lot make your drummer do some muted cymbal hits at the beginning the second time through the riff or so... (think master of puppets) Song 1 is recorded kinda hashy..... but i like the riffs from the second a lot more... keep it coming, its good stuff
