In terms of music, it's all about the metal :P. Anything epic, technical, or melodic and I'll probably enjoy it. But the main thing I look for in music is originality and emotion. When you can feel the emotion pouring out of the damn speakers, then that's where it's at. Also, I prefer music that makes you think. Both in lyrics and musical content. Anything deep and philosophical is good.
I've been playing guitar for about 7 years now, my main inspirations being Jari from Wintersun and Petrucci from Dream Theater. I'm pretty advanced in terms of skill level, but I'm always looking for new shit to learn.
