yeah, there are a lot of threads on the forums about slow connection
actually it's not a connection problem but our servers' perfomance. to be precise the problem is vBulletin search index which has a lot of data already and works very slow. becuase of this database has overloaded and whole site started to work slow too (we use authorization based on forum, so...).
we have disabled search function to analyze system, and now we have some ways to fix problem. also we need some days to gradual implementing solution that we think is best in our situation.
you can use one of your favorite function - forum search - from today, but search can be disabled again if something goes wrong. anyway site will work stable as usual soon
user casualwish has uploaded mp3 for his band (casualwish) 2 days ago. there were just a few plays for each song, so sharp-witted "promoter" wrapped plays counter and now almost "popular" songs moved to the top with 500+ plays for each.
a funny thing is that casualwish didn't use any special software or tricks/hacks, he just had been refreshing page and clicking on each song for several hours
of course our system detected this and now the top will be restored. but what i want to say is - don't do this guys (abuse rating, spam comments or pm, etc.) anyway we would definitely find your cheats and you'd be punished. also we spend our time for this instead of implementing new features. i wish good luck to your bands to become a really popular. have a nice day

for 30 days (it means that if he get second warning at this time he
will be banned).
I'm in the city now. Vacation was perfect but weather wasn't Anyway I swam in the cold sea once (was it summer vacation or not, eh?) and made barbecue with new friends. Mostly we spent time for walking and 2 seasons "prison break".
UGP is up and has a stable load, so I it's time fo r some rest for me. I will go to national park Curonian Spit (photos) with my girlfriend on Monday. Also I will be online sometimes if GPRS works normally there.
