So I've been adding cover songs to my profile steadily over the last couple of days. They're all done by recording myself and my guitar on a 20 pound MP3 player, which isn't very good quality. I do actually own an Shure SM58 microphone but it won't pick up my acoustic so I can't use it for these kind of recordings. Instead I hope to get an SM57 which is the instrument version and then I'll do vocals and guitar separate, and probably add more vocals and guitar as well, which'll be good.
