Yeah man, I love Queen with a passion, but its really important for a band (especially one still relatively early on in its career) to work on nailing their own sound, so in that case RTB probably wasnt the guy to work with, considering he helped Queen get their signature sound.
I saw the lads on their most recent tour at The King Tuts, was amazing! The King Tuts had an age limit of 18, but I managed to get in no problem, I'm only seventeen myself. What age are you? |
I'm 17 in 3 months, however the venue's in the south all check ages.

GezzyDiversion wrote on May 15th, 2009 8:43pmSame, I saw the new pictures of the writing sessions on their MySpace!
Yeh, I recently listened to OWTTH...AB, however it was a step too far in the Queen direction. I reckon they should have saved the B-Sides like Makin' Out and Best Of Me for it instead.
Did you manage to see Stone Gods on any of their tours? I would have love to have gone to the March tour but the shows near me were over 18 :/ quote |

Slaveaway wrote on Dec 10th, 2008 3:54pmReally interesing u should say that. All i know is that Justin has said Dan is better than him. Apart from that ive seen them both play solos live and they were both very good. Some of the guitar work on permission to land is just mind blowing...eg: Love on the rocks with no ice..... im assuming justin played most of the lead on that and thats partly why i rate justin so highly as a guitarist.
However, if justin himself says that Dan is better who am i to disagree!
matttt wrote on Dec 6th, 2008 at 4:05pm :
Has to be Dan, totally.
Sure, in The Darkness, Justin had a lot of flashy solos...

Aye I've heard Hot Leg, but personally I think they lack something, I'd take Stone Gods any day. Saw them at the Barrowlands the other week, supporting Airbourne, and I was blown away, going to see them again when they're up here supporting BSC, but I'm not hanging around for the other bands, just going to see Stone Gods. You a big fan? |
Ok yeh i see....
Yeh from what ive heard of both bands i definately prefer stone gods. Its just HOt Leg have justin hawkins - and i think hes great and really talented too! Yeh i think the stone gods are great - i havnt been able to catch them live yet but i hope i do. The'ye the next band i want to see. Who do u think is a better guitarist - Justin or Dan?
