I play lead electric guitar in the worship band at One Church Bristol and have played in what was once the HKD Band who released a 4 track EP "Call To Arms" in 2013. My musical interests are basically anything with a meaty guitar track and badass vocals. I'm more about the sounds of classic rock and '80s heavy metal, but if you put anything with that "screamo" bulls**t in front of me then we won't be friends..
I've had a minor love affair with vintage Yamaha Super Flighters from the late '70s, and my collection currently stands at SF500 (sunburst), SF500 (ivory white), SF700 (sunburst), SF1000 (oilstain), SF1000 (blond). These things are beautiful, easy to play, and sound fantastic. Like having a Les Paul, Telecaster, and SG together when playing an SF1000!
My current effects rig consists of any of the above guitars, usually the "oilstain" SF1000, and:
Line 6 G30 Relay > TC Electronics MojoMojo > Joyo AC Tone > Marshall Jackhammer > Boss ME20 > MXR Smart Gate > MXR Analog Chorus > Marshall Echohead > EHX Holy Grail > MXR Micro Amp
However I'm currently working on a new pedalboard on a PT-PRO, which is:
Line 6 G30 Relay > Ernie Ball VP JR > TC Polytune II > Vox V847A (true-bypass modded) > Joyo AC Tone > Wampler Hot Wired V2 > MXR Smart Gate > T-Rex Tremonti Phaser > MXR Analog Chorus > Strymon El Capistan > TC Hall of Fame > MXR Micro Amp > BBE Sonic Stomp
All of this ends up in my Marshall JCM900 going through a 1960 4x12. I use the effects loop for any modulation pedals and on the new board I'm using an true bypass looper to control all of my pedals to keep my tone intact as my old board sucked tone like a cheap hooker...
