So, last night, my sister is watching American Idol as I'm messing with my new guitar (Ibanez Artcore Hollowbody), trying to think of names for my two primary guitars (the other being my Ibanez TCY10 acoustic/electric). The theme for their songs is the Beatles as a follow up to last week's apparent Lennon/McCartney theme. Well, as I'm tinkering and pondering, I realize that not many Beatles covers get very popular, and the ones these people were performing were just down right awful. Surely I think it's good to put your own spin on a song if you're going to cover it, but these people dephiled classics. I couldn't bare to listen to anymore, so I grabbed my guitar and went on a Beatles listening spree, which I continue at the moment, of their entire catalog from beginning to end in chronological order. In doing so, I came up with a name for my newest guitar. I shall call her Sadie in honor of the song Sexy Sadie, which I learned today, and though not a Beatles song, Judy Blue Eyes is the name of my blue acoustic/electric because of the CS&N song. Yeah, so that's the end of my rambling in my first blog. Sorry there's not too much interesting here, but perhaps I can inspire you to think of names for your guitars or send you on a Beatles kick.
