Hmm I don't know why but I always thought of England as a place where it rains a lot. In Canada, I guess it's really sunny and hot in the summer but it's been raining quite a bit lately. I blame global warming D:
Oh yeah. My uncle used to live in London because he designs cars or something and he went there for his job. I don't remember if he's still there now, but if he is, I should go visit sometime. Then I'll be in England
Meh. Personally, I think Canadians are better people :. But the States have a lot of stuff to do and places to go. And stuff there is cheaper. I guess overall it's pretty much the same.. in a way. |
You probably got that impression because we like to complain about the weather.
Cool.
Canadians are better people than Americans? Y'know I'm pretty sure the Nazis said something similar. I always thought of Canada as America with snow.

break-me-in wrote on Aug 13th, 2008 9:04pmIt doesn't rain tons, really. It just rains whenever you happen to make plans whose crucial elements require it not to rain. Like a barbeque. Most of the time it's overcast. Just white/grey sky. But it varies quite a bit still.
Didn't know about it till you just told me actually, but it sounds cool. Although I went to Spain once and I don't remember it. Presumably, it wasn't that memorable. Or maybe I was just too young. If you go to another country, make it England. Hell, you could probably organise a meetup for wherever you are. (Spain or England).
Well I like the sound of it. Snow snow snow. But yeah, the States has a lot of different stuff, I guess. quote |
break-me-in wrote on Aug 12th, 2008 10:05pmYeah, we're like that with our weather here, everyone is just annoyed by it. Some drunk guy at the train station asked me the other day why anyone would want to come to England, because we have shitty weather. I told him that if you're from a really hot country, the overcast weather here would seem exotic. I'm one of the only people who likes English weather...
Oh right, then travelling must be much easier for you. In that case, go to France and England when you've got a chance. France is probably easier if you speak French. England is great too. A lot of the people and the politics suck, but just as a place it's really cool. Then again, it might just be like Canada without the snow, I'm not sure.
Watching TV, talking to some friends on msn, looking at UG... Not much else.
[Yeah, I had to get rid of the quote the last 2 times as well...] quote |
break-me-in wrote on Aug 12th, 2008 9:32pmYeah, I know how that feels. I went to London to go shopping with some friends the other day and I was supposed to have money, but my parents didn't pay me for washing the windows so I was just looking at stuff I couldn't buy. Still, if your friends are there it's fun-ish.
Ah, right continent at least. You've got snow. That's pretty rare here, and when it occasionally does snow, the government see fit to curbstomp children's fantasies by pouring salt all over the place. So we still have to go to school. Still, last time it snowed (over a year ago, I think), half my school year skipped to go have a snow fight.
Ok, about Europe: Do you speak different languages? I don't (not well, anyway) so it's a bit of a pain, tbh : And I've seen the Eiffel Tower. It's great. Although I would've done it a different colour, but that's just me. Still, for you it'd be really different, so I'm guessing you'd like it anyway.
Ok, how the hell did I manage to write this much? I'm rambling. quote |

Well at least you have things to do. I'm only travelling to the mall tomorrow. Sounds exciting, right?
I've never been to Europe. I wish I could go someday.. |
Depends. If you're gonna be there with people you like, I'm sure it is exciting. To me, going to London is only slightly more interesting than the mall anyway; I go all the time. Although it is a great city.
If I told you Europe was nothing special, would you believe me? : Well, it's not quite how people think of it. It gets romanticised too much. I've never been to America, I wish I could go there someday. (You are from America, right? I forgot =/ Well, you used the word mall, you must be American.)
