stradivari310 wrote on May 21st, 2008 3:40pmWell, I've been banned for posting *facepalm* on yet another article about Pete Wentz. I like Fall Out Boy, but that just had to stop. And go figure, the mods get the last laugh. quote |
stradivari310 wrote on Mar 20th, 2008 3:25pmMy amp is only a couple years younger than I... so I guess no vintage for me. That's true though, I'm thinking if I can find some old parts I'm going to build myself a nice little fuzz pedal as my electronics independent study next year.
Haha well if she wants to leave the state, that's not my problem.. but I do love her voice. She got all of her training from jazz and theater, oddly enough. She has some seriously eclectic influences.
And yeah, I'm fairly well-connected in the social networking realm. I added you on myspace; here's the facebook http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=570311952 quote |
stradivari310 wrote on Mar 19th, 2008 4:11pmYou do have quite the enviable setup.. I hope I reach that point before I'm out of high school. Although my desire to acquire pedals will never truly go away... such is the problem of an experimental guitarist XD
Thanks for adding my band.. I'm glad you like it. Seems like our songs have been pretty well-recieved here on UG, which I really appreciate considering people here actually have decent taste sometimes. What do you think of our singer's voice? quote |
stradivari310 wrote on Mar 17th, 2008 9:15pmHave you seen the video for the fuzz probe? It's mind-boggling what you can get out of it.

The ZVex Ringtone is a pretty cool pedal too.. and I prefer it to the Moogerfooger as far as ring modulators go. But pedal-hunting sure is an expensive hobby. I'll probably just pick up a Boss ME-50 whenever I buy my fuzz probe (the Peavey left me broke) and let the third guitarist in my band pick up the effects pedals, seeing as making strange noises seems to have become his job as of late. Listen to the bridge of "Never Say Never" in my profile and you'll see what I mean quote |
stradivari310 wrote on Mar 16th, 2008 5:55pmMetal is fun in moderation, but why obsess over it when there are so many more diverse genres of music? My library has everything from Ravel to Radiohead, and I love it all.
And yes, violin is definitely an instrument that merits private instruction... 10 years of lessons with a professional and I'm just scratching the surface of truly good playing. And accordion sure sounds fun.. let me know how that goes :-P
I'm basically in love with my Peavey. It's an incredible amp; even more so because I bought it last Friday to replace my Spider III. The cleans are very Vox-like, and the overdrive is reminiscent of the Fender Deville but can go from blues to about punk levels of gain with excellent clarity. I was going to get the Deville, but I liked the distortion on this one better, and I got it for only $360 used! Now I'm just getting pedals to spice things up. Next on my list is a ZVex Fuzz Probe. quote |
stradivari310 wrote on Mar 16th, 2008 12:59pmThanks for the add! Nice to see another classical musician here. I'm primarily a violinist myself, while my brother's been playing piano for 11 years... he started when he was 4. Nice gear list, by the way. quote |
