That's what I thought. It struck me as having a hint of Irish folk, but was not obvious. But then again, I'm not a fan of that style, haha.

Going back to the key note too much, basically. Try to play around with the audience's expectation of returning to the root. Music is all about meeting and breaking expectations. I think melody wise, the tune is not doing enough breaking.

Thanks again. I wasn't expecting the recording to sound half way decent. It was a composition recital that I had to pull off by myself and get the other (unprepared) players. So I'm pleasantly surprised.

And yes, many rock guitarists try to fancy themselves with classical notions that they don't understand. Quite amusing.

Thanks for your comment. This was just my first stab at writing a fugue...I kinda failed by professional standards though :P

I finally got a copy of the real recording for it though. If you visit my page and listen to it again, you'll hear me and my quartet playing the piece with actual instruments.

yeah all of those songs aren't really "finished". Except for "on my way" and "overload" which are just demo songs me and a friend did. The rest are ones i do on my own, i just threw things together and put a random lead guitar over my riff ideas, never really did polish any of them down though. Keep on rockin bro
