Mostly we fit our own handwound pickups, made by us. Sometimes we get asked to fit Duncans, EMGs or something else.

you seem to be the master of valvekings.
im looking to buy [price = 350 USD] Peavey Vk 100 100w Tube Head.
for playing mostly hard rock/metal would it be a good choice for me?
thanks in advance |
Hey dude, sorry about the time it took to get back to you. I didn't notice you commented!
That question really depends on whether or not you play primarily hard rock or metal. The Valveking won't do metal without a speaker swap and boost in my opinion, so it may be cheaper to get a Bugera 333 or something instead of modding. However, if you play more hard rock then I think that the Valveking is the better tonally for you. Check my clips to see some samples, just with a speaker swap and a boost.

The_bushidoka wrote on Sep 2nd, 2008 6:08am'Ssup. So, I couldn't help but notice that, not only did nobody answer your George Washington question, but that one of the mods shut down your thread. This pissed me off because I think that lately, whomever is in charge of running this site has decided that these forums are some big important thing rather than just letting the internet be the internet a little bit. I mean, holy cow, it's not like there are gonna be whole families of people logging on to UG together...lighten up a bit, I say. Anyway, as a bit of a George Washington buff, I think I can help.
He warns future leaders against four things in his farewell speech. Now, I'm going to give you the answers, but you have to promise to read the speech here: http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Washington%27s_Farew ell_Address#43
He warned against: domestic meddling in foreign affairs, foreign meddling in domestic affairs, partisanship (he called for men to be post-partisan and serve the greater good), and getting involved in European wars. quote |
