since i discovered Animals as Leaders my life's been filled with technical progressive jazz metal and djent \m/
not a big fan of scream and grunt, or any kind of singing for that matter. it just doesn't seem right with low tuning or 8 string djent and i find most lyrics to be pretty much meaningless these days. so i tend to stick to instrumental bands.
My band: Disfunked, dispite the name doesn't have much to do with funk nowerdays. though a good old rage against the machine song tends to get the [small pub] crowd roaring.
i'm a big fan of melodic playing and i think acoustic sounding stuff sounds wonderful especially when mixted with electronic drums -> On impulse - Animals as Leaders.
i try to combine technique and melody into my playing, 8 string hopefully to come soon. my dream guitar would be a blackmachine 8 with piezo pickups and a pair of Bareknuckle painkillers but as my budget is slightly limited i've gone with an ibanez rga8 [big fan of ibanez, you can always pick one up and know it's going to play well] and maybe install some piezos if i ever have the money.
I live in the french countryside which is rather a bummer as there aren't many music festivals or concerts around, Hellfest is the only thing i can look foward to once a year. not be able to drive yet i miss out on going to concerts in Paris which is over four hours away.
