ok im pretty decent at bass adn by that i mean i can easily play guns n roses bass parts, but im learning to fingerpick and im ok but you knwo hwo your sopposed to alternate between your 2 fingers? well without even trying its just teh way i would naturaly do it i want to use my middle finger to pluck the higher frets and my index to pluck the lower and last frets and notes id play in a bass line, like if it was the E string and the frets were 8 7 6 5 id play middle finger,index finger, middle finger, index finger, and if it was 5 6 7 8 in that order i would play it index, middle, index , middle, and if it was like, 7 6 4 i always pluck middle, middle, index so i always want to end the highest note with my middle and the lowest wiht my index finger, is that a problum should i work really hard on just alternating and finger cordination or should i just roll with it and play that wiht since its what i want to naturaly do?
hey i still and using my lp special bass and the crappiest amp and cable in the world so...but ive got myself some nice ernie ballz so...
anyway, im getting some new gear like bass, and amps, so i could use some feedback and advice if anybody would care to comment on this.
im really hung up on the deluxe active p-bass special, i love the looks and the sound so much!!!!!! but if anybody knows anything alot like it in sound and looks or atleast sound, thats around the same price or a little cheaper let me know, or if you just have somthign you like alot,
now on to amps,
any bass amps you guys like? id want somthing atleast 100w with good control, and somthign you can easily gig with and has very good sound for some slap funk, and like metal,screamo hardrock, hardcore, pop-punk, so i always want a punch to it and somtimes some overdrive deep sharp tone, and if i just want a plain punchy sound instead of a cold sharp sound and my budget is between $300-$500 for amp and basicly keep it under $600 for bass if you can but nomore then $700 cuase i still need to get a job teh second i turn 15 (i just turned 14) and id like opinions on what would be nice a stack or combo, if i do anythign in the next few years its ganna be school,parties, and stuff, and after i get 16-18 we'll prolly be trying to get a record lable and some decent gigs at bars and stuff heres what i like currently
ok i have a prolbum, i have a bass and a guitar, and im learing to play both right, but im ganna be in a band soon....well im kinda in one already and i cant play both and i dont know what to do, cuase bass is really fun and easy for me but i like guitar becuase its has more lead and melody then bass and its more of a challenge...whats your opinion
ok first off im really angry that fall out boy is doing a stupid hip hop[ cd! are you kidding me you go from punk to hip hop!? thier new album was differetn enough but a HIP HOP CD!??! and panic! at the disco said thier totaly changing and took the ! out of thier name.....and mcr said they want to make thier songs like happier and are different sereousl and simple plan is trying to be different to ! im so angry......but any i just got my account and took up bass its been fun...i hate it when people say bass is dumb....some bands just are too stupid to use a bass to its full potential....
