That is true with the exception of some modern songs but plastic music (techno) has no meaning whatsoever and also I think a lot of metal songs are either about death or depressing stuff that makes you want to kill whoever is in the room with you listening to it.

I disagree, I've heard all over that metal is all about hate and anger, I play, listen to, and write metal, trust me there are all the same themes thats rock carries. Drugs, love, anger, life, death (like death of a friend)
Old 70's and 80's are better in my whole fammily and lots of peoples opinions. Wanna know why?
Well, in new music all they use is voice effects, so that means you can't see them live. If you see them live, They will either: Be lip syncing, or get real off pitch.
Listen to the Cheetah Girls, they have horrible voice effects. I saw they on Disney (My sister was watching it) and guess what? they where live and where not lip syncing. They got real bad off pitch which is how they really are. The older days with, Eric Clapton, Peter Frampton, The Eagles, see, they didn't have technology to do that. They have there real voice doing it. Not effects.
I can be a horrible singer. Many people won't like me, many people will. But I am not going use voice effects what so ever. Just because I can use them, doesn't mean I am. I'm staying with the 70's and 80's Classic Rock style.
