About johnro6659
I have been playing guitar and Bass since I was 9yo so for about 40 +years now. I have been collecting building and repairing guitars for 25+ years. At one time I sold my custom guitars for about two or three years under the brand name JRP. I played in a few local bands until I had to decide a full time job or making small change playing clubs around Boston.
Over the years I became a Gibson aficionado/collector buying and selling Gibsons in the New England area. People still have me do appraisals on their vintage Gibby's. In 1987 I sold off my very huge Guitar collection 150+ guitars (102 + of them Gibsons) before I got married. I did hang on to one bass and one guitar that were more or less novelties. When my son was old enough to want to learn I got him a BC Rich Warlock starter pack. When I gave it to him and plugged the dam thing in I was hooked again. Now I am on my way to another huge collection of guitars but a more eclectic bunch not just one brand. I have learned over the years just because the guitar has a big brand name on it or is made in the US doesn't make it a quality guitar. I also am in the works of starting another custom guitar business call Death Dealer Guitars (DDG) I have two commissioned works I am building one for a very old customer and one for my nephews guitarist from the band Supplication.
