Primarily Radiohead, Eels, Pink floyd. Also Pixies, Nirvana, REM, Genisis, Blur, Stone Roses, Magic Numbers, Kings of Leon, The Clash. There are more, but hey, i really can't be bothered to go on.
Oh, and to all the people who think thats a bit "obvious", well f**k you. I hate most heavy metal bands (Iron Maiden made some decent songs) but, even more than that, i hate obscurity snobs. So what if I like Pink Floyd? They rock in my opinion, and just because their successful doesn't meen they should be uncool. If you were in a decent band, you wouldn't hinder your success just so snobs with music connections (and no life, more than likely) would think you're "cool".
Favorite guitarists :
Jonny Greenwood, David Gilmour, Mr E, Graham Coxon and The Clash's guitar duo all have the right idea about guitar-playing.
Favorite bassists :
Paul Simmon, David Gilmour (when he played bass ie Hey You) and Kim Deal.
