Yes it handles effects well. I'm not sure about a multi-FX like you have, but it works fine with mine. I use a Phase 90>Metal Muff>Small Clone>MXR 10-Band and they all sound great out in front of the amp (not in loop).

Its £330 ish, then the footpedal is another £40. and 2 vintage 30 speakers is another £100, and that is a marshal killer
