You find a batch of songs you like by different bands and stick 'em together in either an www.8tracks.com or YouTube playlist. Then when it's your turn, you post it.
It's just some fun. Talking about people's tastes and possibly spreading attention to bands you think deserve it.
I like 8tracks more myself because it's more reliable and the quality of the recordings is as good as you upload them. You're not relying on what others have uploaded. It takes more time though, and some people have had troubles uploading (not me) so they started going with YouTube playlists which is fine obviously.

Go Buckeyes. That should be more clear. (i was at the game last saturday) |
Well then, we are now frenemies.

I know that feel. It's so frustrating. Someone at my school today told me if we let "homosexuals" marry, then people are going to start marrying their pets. He just couldn't grasp why that was the dumbest fucking shit.

due 07 wrote on Oct 18th, 2011 5:25amYes it has. I hate debating right wingers like that though, because none of their points make sense in the first place; too stupid to refute, if you will.
I was gonna send you a FR, but I didn't know whether or not we were already officially e-pals or not, then I got sidetracked and forgot. >_<
Were you ever able to make it to Occupy Columbus (I think that was it)? My town's Occupy is going to be picketing out district's congressman's visit here in a couple days, I might go. quote |

We're gonna be doing a split 7" with another band called Thee Now Sound (another grunge band from around here) soon so we'll have some new (and hopefully better) material soon too. |
Sweet. Let me know when you do. I'll gladly take a listen.

It's likely the distortion is a Pro Co Turbo Rat, as that was Tad Doyle's favorite distortion pedal. The guitar sound on Sliver is very Rat-ish. I'm relatively certain that there weren't any other pedals, however if there were, it would be an Ibanez Chorus. I think the digital one. Not entirely sure. | Thanks for that mate, forgot i'd even asked about that! Been thinking of getting that pedal for a while as i've heard good things about it, might have to be my next investment! Cheers.

Depending on who I talk to it's either great or a bad joke. | I also have a Boss DS-1 and I prefer it by miles. The Grunge has waaay too much gain even when you turn the gain all the way down. That may partly be my amp's fault though (22W Vox), since it's less of an issue with big amps. That's my only major complaint though, the tone is pretty adjustable. I'd say give it a shot at a music shop - it seems to be a hit/miss piece of equipment so it may very well work for you - but definitely also give the DS-1 a try.
