So the band was suppose to decide on who they want to hire as their new bassist last night. I was sitting around half the night and most of the day waiting for a call or a text or something, letting me know whether or not I got the job.
Well a text finally came. But it was not the news I was expecting. Turns out that they are now auditioning a third guy - not because me and the other guy that auditioned aren't good enough, but because they want to "explore all of their options". Worse part about it is they started talking to the guy last night and didn't bother to tell me or the other guy that had auditioned.
So now it went from a 50% chance of getting in down to a 33% chance, which is still pretty good. I'm not really worried about more competition - just means I need to work a little harder and step up my game a bit. Its just the entire way they went about it pisses me off.
