Ambient music is a completely different experience to other forms of music. It's not like you can just sit and listen to it, it's more about the way the music flows rather than being a relatively short, tight experience.

I only listen to Sunn O))) in the background whilst I do other things lol

I lol'd hard. Ripping on Sunn O))) while you have bands like that listed in your Favourite Bands.

It's called ambient jackass.

Sounds like a real recto then haha.
Have you tried the 'ultra high gain' module ?

No, From what I've heard though it's good.
There was a huge (200+ page) topic on Harmony central all about the MTS line of amps, so check that out. ;)

Anything else you need to know?

I found an RM100 with 3 modules for $1000 !!!
Hows yours holding up ?
Is the recto module any good, and would I need to buy a noise gate for it ?

The Recto module is alright, but can be a little muffled with scooped mids.

Where are you in perth dude?

.:Darkness:. wrote on Apr 10th, 2008 12:46pm

Yeah, i know. Is the guy's screen name "Opeth"? If so, thats the guy i'm buying it from :D. I've been thinking about buying that amp since November-ish last year. Back ten it was $1100, its gone down since and I've finally agreed :P.

colohue wrote on Mar 14th, 2008 1:38pm

Honest to god I'm not. It was a high school full of idiots and chavs, all doing horrific things to themselves day in day out and likely all now in prison. Except the guy with Torrettes, still see him wandering around.

How's your band nowadays? I know bands at that age can be tough just to keep going...

colohue wrote on Mar 13th, 2008 3:51pm

Fender and Squier aren't the same but I can see what you mean ;)

It's a fairly new amp for me, still working on the settings. I'll let you know :P

macaroni wrote on Feb 15th, 2008 11:08am

well i mainly use ebay. i got my randall from

oh and for the randall there's no 100w version, only a 50w combo and 50w head

macaroni wrote on Feb 15th, 2008 9:28am

nah its used. it has enough gain for 80s metallica and classic rock but not enough for modern metal. so i need an od to drive it abit more.
