it's been one full month since the last cigarette I smoked!
Right now, if someone piss me off, I think I'd beat him to death!!
The good news is I feel so much better! I can breath more easily. And I don't talk about the taste of food! Now I begin to smell the perfume of all the girls in the office. It is great!
Downside : my weight -> +15lb
yesterday, i saw a little show. It was 2 guys and a girl with guitar who sing pop music. it wasn't very a good show, but a good entertainment while we were ice skating. The guys were not bad guitar player, but it was the girl (as usual) who took my attention. She had a very good voice. She sing in tune and have a very powerful voice. The only bad thing about it was that she didn't knew the lyrics of the songs by heart. She read the lyrics on a computer screen (karaoke style). Also, it was clear that she didn't knew what she was singing. She probably speak only french (vive le Quebec libre!!) and sing some songs in english. So in the end, it was good, but no emotion in her voice. It misses the little something that can take a song from "not bad" to "wow!".
I suggest to everyone who sing in a foreign language, to traduce the lyrics to know what the song is all about. If you do not know what the lyrics are about, you may sing a sad song with a big funny smile on your face!!
Yesterday, it was our last jam with the band for a couple of month. JF, ou singer/rythm guitar, will have a baby any day from now. So we take a break to let him some time to take care of wife and family. Good luck with the new baby JF!
In the meantime, we'll be wrtiting new songs. JF told us he should have plenty of time to write lyrics. So when we get togheter, we'll have plenty of new material to record! So it is not a bad thing after all!
Right now, I'm listening to the new BFMV - Scream Aim Fire. 1st time I listen to it and I must say, it is very good! Good guitar riffs. Very good melody. I'm not a fan of screaming, but I must admit that without it it wouldn't be so good. It fits the music and style perfectly!
I'm glad I got it and I strongly suggest this album!
I quit smoking 18 days ago! It is really hard! I was smoking since 1995. My wife (no-smoke) tell me I smell much better since I don't smoke. WOOHOO, sex party!!! I think we'll do another baby soon....
3 days ago I bought a brand new Les Paul Black Beauty! The first guitar I bought since I get my old Samick 15 years ago! It is incredible! It is like being blind for the last 15 years and now I can see!! I will have so much fun with this baby! I'll try it tonight for real with my band!
