I've been good btw, I've just moved away from home for university so I'm just adjusting to life in this new place. |
we're just the same... i am about to move to a new house this year. probably december or january next year...
well... it's good that you moved away from home... hhmm... i smell independence.
good luck

How about you? |
i used to drink a lot before and hang out with my friend. but right now, i don't have the time nor the money nor the willingness because of some important commitments. how have you been these past few days?

I don't know what is going on with kieren, I didn't even know he had a girlfriend :\
If I had to guess what he was doing right now, I'd say playing some sexy music for her |
I guess Keiren hangs out most of the time with his gf. I saw their comments on facebook and they are really very sweet! WOO! *so sweet* haha
I don't know if he plays her sexy music but I think they would go to a gig or some concert. and you? do you also go out if you have a free time? where do you usually go?

Porsche31 wrote on Jul 10th, 2009 7:08amgimme_fuel_89 wrote on Jul 10th, 2009 at 9:46am : Yeah, some of the slower metal is easy enough to play, but when it comes to thrash and death and the really fast picking stuff that's when it starts to get difficult. You also need really good guitars/amps so the sound is clear, and that can be expensive......Anyway I find nowadays I'm listening to less and less metal, there's so many different kinds of music out there. |
some metals are really high-maintenance aren't they?
you're listening now to less and less metal? oh really?
well, for me it depends on my mood, what type of music genre i'd listen to. if i want to relax, i go for slower music but if want to be hyper or if it is morning, i play metal sometimes.
i haven't seen keiren opening his UG account? what has happened to him? i think he's so busy with his gf, lol. 'cause i saw her Keiren on facebook.

It's not as hard, you don't need to worry so much about having the right kind of gear and there's probably more kinds of music that you are able to play as well, so it is the way to go really
I don't know what is happening with the facebook, but you're on my friends list currently and I can see your profile, so if it still isn't working that is kind of strange. I think the reason the address I gave you before didn't work was because there was a comma at the end. Try www.facebook.com/lookinsidethecupboard |
hey, you're on my facebook list now. but i dont really use that site that much nor myspace.
so play acoustic sometimes? can you also do the metal thing? metal is kinda complicated for me especially if you'd play it.

Porsche31 wrote on Jul 3rd, 2009 4:14amgimme_fuel_89 wrote on Jul 2nd, 2009 at 3:31pm : Fair enough. If it's metal you're interested in playing that would obviously take up a lot of time (especially in terms of having to practice), so you do have a point. I don't imagine that the metal scene in the Phillipines would be very big either (or am I wrong about that?). |
Haha. Metal type of music is so difficult to play that's why I go for some mellow type, acoustic playing (plucking). And it takes time to learn or complete one song.
You're right. I wouldn't be very big, although there are certain people who would love to listen and idolize it. It depends on the taste of people actually. But most of the teenagers nowadays are listening to metals and other underground music.
Btw, I can't see your profile at facebook, but Keiren was added to my list. I don't know what's wrong, and I couldn't see your profile account also when you sent me the link.

My facebook address is www.facebook.com/lookinthecupboard, I don't know about keiren but he should be there somewhere amongst my friends list. |
that's cool. i think i won't be a member of a band, ever. that would require so much of my time. i'd rather listen to the bands because i suck at playing instruments, lol.
i can't see your profile. what's your first name and last name btw? so i could find it.

Ummm keiren and I met on UG and I then joined his band for a bit, but I left due to distance problems (we live on opposite sides of sydney), but we have still kept in contact through facebook and UG.
So do you got a band? |
ahahaha. how i wish i had a porsche. that's too expensive.
i don't have a band really. actually if i'm gonna rate my guitar skill, it would be just a beginner or amateur level, lol. so you've got a band? keiren is studying music, and you? are you in college? what's your facebook account btw? you and keiren?

That sounds awesome dude, I'm looking forward to it. Is the anzac day gig going to be a festival type thing or will it be just you guys?
As for my band, we're called Woshy Wanny and the genre is probably a bit of everything, but predominantly grunge/hard rock/heavy metal. We have a live video of this song called 'cupboard' up on facebook. I've sent you a friend request, so be sure to check out the video! Thanks for the recording offer as well, we'll take it into consideration. |
Nah, it's not a festival, atm I'm not sure who is playing with us other than friends of ours, Equal Army. We are headlining though so it should be good.
Cool, sounds good mate. Love the name as well haha, especially the name of the song lol. The video doesn't work though unfortunately, I wanted to fucking hear it. haha

Ah yes, the bassist dude from Made in Japan. Yeah, he told me he worked with you which is a pretty awesome coincidence \m/ What do you think of his band? They seem to be doing quite well. |
Yep, that's him. I know, wouldn't have expected it but yeah, he was talking to me about you the other day at work, so I thought, fuck too right, haven't talked to you in a while. Yeah, I've seen them a couple of times now, I really like some of their stuff, especially the track Invertuoso. Some of it gets a little tedious though. Yeah, they are doing heaps well, they are playing Come Together this year. We plan to a couple of gigs with them in May as well though, even though we are a little heavier lol.

Kieren wassup! Uh not much is really going on right now, I have re-united an old band of mine from high school after eventually realizing that trying to meet suitable band members through classifieds is, well, utterly useless. Hopefully it will work out and we'll have layed down a couple of tracks by the end of april. That sounds exciting about the new songs, and I will be attending your gig \m/ When is the EP coming out? |
A fair bit is up man, I'm fucking busy as atm. Oh cool, what are you guys called and what sort of music are you playing? If you need any cheap recording time, I know some people btw from my uni. Yeah, Riff 8 (the death metal sounding one) is being played on ANZAC day, as well as a couple you haven't heard before, it will be epic. I have finished my part of the EP, and we are soon planning a launch gig for it, probably at Annandale or Agincourt Hotel I'd say.

IncubusMan999 wrote on Mar 19th, 2009 2:52pmBtw, do you know a guy called Michael Williams, he says he knows you and went to school with you/also ran into you the ohter day at a party. I work with him. quote |
IncubusMan999 wrote on Mar 19th, 2009 2:51pmHey man, just dropping by, haven't talked to you in a while mate. What's been happening? How's the band situation going? Btw, we are playing at Lewisham Hotel on Anzac Day, if you wanna hear some new shit. Anyway mate, hope to hear back soon. quote |
IncubusMan999 wrote on Jan 16th, 2009 12:07pmHey mate, we are playing our semi-final next Thursday 22 January, you up for coming along? quote |
IncubusMan999 wrote on Dec 20th, 2008 1:11amOh and btw mate, I traded my PS2 in for an Xbox 360 three weeks ago, got the Pro pack for $250 with 60GB hard drive. I managed to talk EB into giving me Rainbow Six: Vegas and Saints Row instead of the 4 crappy games they were gonna give me, then I traded my PS1 games for a 1 year Xbox Live subscription at Gametraders and bought Halo 3 (what I bought the Xbox for). I suggest you do that. quote |

Stupid distance of sydney, I damn thee to hell for eternity. |
Yeah, same place, same time, doors open at 7, but we load up at 6:15. I know, we have the same problem with going into the city to play gigs lol.

Hey, how was the gig last night?
Also, Kieren was telling me something about voting for you guys for unearthed or something, how do I do that? |
Mate, we won it, most votes and heaps of second preference votes too.
Lol Keiran meant that you could have come along and voted on Thursday night, we weren't on till about 9, but he worded it really badly. We are playing the semis on the 22nd January though so come along for that eh?
