I first started playing acoustic when I was 13 years old. I got a Fender Squire acoustic in a package and took lessons at the local place. At first, I loved playing guitar and I wanted to expand my knowledge but I was only being taught a slower, more classical tone of guitar. I never have listened to that kind of music so being taught that stuff was a major turn off from guitar.
I'm 18 now and I bought another electric guitar because my friend wanted me to learn how to play. I bought an Ibanez RG2EX1 and I play no less than an hour a day.
I am in no means "good" but I try to keep up with everyone else and in my opinion, for how long I've been playing, I'm doing fairly well.
I recently swore into the Air Force so I'm really hurrying to learn as much as I can. Time is ticking...
