Seeing the recent Indian racism attacks, I'd like to talk about the most racist remarks I've recieved, plus the 'stereotype of Indians'. If any of you have no idea what I'm talking about, click here!
In my recent trip to Australia, I was listening to my I-Pod and checking out something at Woolworths. I was listenin' to Iron Maiden when suddenly a hobo comes from nowhere and says, "Oi! IT MEANS MOVE IN AUSTRALIA!". I went like, "WTF?!" and then realised he was trying to say excuse me. However, he thinks I'm still listening to my I-Pod and he says, "Fuckin' Indian".
However, this is not the only racist remarks I've recieved in India. Some people stare at me. Others fix their eyes like the fuckin' KKK themselves. Fortunately, I haven't been beaten up.
Secondly, I've seen the 'stereotype of Indians'. Why do you guys think that we can't talk English? Go to the barber, the guy does some sign language. Go to the supermarket, and the checkout person will emphasise his voice for me to understand how much I have to pay.
How long will this last? I don't want to criticise any person or race but I'm just trying to point out the facts towards some people. If you're racist, go ahead and say, "Fuck you!" to me, I don't care. It just seems so hopeless. All we have to do is accept these facts and don't revolt with the system.
All I care about is someone who can revolt against these attacks.
Have any of you watched this heartbreaking movie? I just went to see it last week and I think it's seriously one of the most amazing movie I have ever seen, compared to other Indian-based movies that some of you might have seen. It's seriously good to see the real side on the slums of Mumbai [Dharaweer and yes, I have gone there and seen the conditions of the slums].
I really liked this movie because it has everything about India: the 1993 Hindu Muslim riots, what life is like a slum, call-centres where nearly 70% of youths are found there, and ofcourse romance and a music video, which has to be a MUST in every Indian movie [though it is a British film].
I would recommend this as the number 1 movie to everyone! I think that it not only deserved the Golden Globe awards [4 awards; and yes, I do think Benjamin should have won] and that it is in the top 50 films of acclaimed site iMDB.com but I think it should go for the Oscars!
Okay, so apparently I get up at 5 AM to go back to Dubai and so, in Sydney Airport, I'm checking my mail and all that and go to The Pit. I saw this sticky thread called: USER ELIMINATION thread and suddenly, I became part of it. I thought it would be funny and decided to go along with it.
And then 7 hours later, I reach Singapore [Chingi Airport] and then:
I'm banned!!
I mean, thats fricking hilarious. I'm in Sydney while I joined the game and then suddenly I get banned in Singapore. I didn't like it cause it was 10 days but heck, who cares? I got exams after that!!
Any funny stories by the people who lost the USER ELIMINATION thread? Pls reply!!
Christ And The Devil: Conflict Between Good and Ev
Current mood: theist
Okay, I really wanted to focus on Christ against the Devil [not the Anti-Christ]. It is said that the Messiah would be the "seed of of a woman" come to destroy the work of the Devil and this did happen during the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. In Genesis 3:15, God prophesied to Satan that "I will put enmity between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel".
Satan will inflict a painful wound on the woman's 'Seed' (which is weird as it actually means the Seed of men but in this case, it was planted in Mary Mother of Jesus) but Christ in turn will inflict a mortal wound on the Serpent, crushing his head. This prophecy was fulfilled in the first instance at the cross, but will culminate when the triumphant Christ casts Satan into the lake of fire [Revelation 20:10].
I wanted to focus on this main prophecy and want to know from people like SlackerBabbath about what they feel about crucifixion and whether it really took place [considering a couple of weeks where some people were questioning about the crucifixion of Jesus Christ]. If those people who don't believe that the crucifixion did happen, then what would have been.
It is also said in the Bible that: The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work [1 John 3:8]
These are the questions I want to ask everybody and I hope that they can answer this back [a few answers will be appreciable especially from the agnostic/atheist side]:
1) What do you believe was/is Jesus Christ's role in Earth? 2) Do you really think that he defeated Satan and will defeat him again by throwing him in the 'lake of fire'? 3) Do you really think that Jesus did appear as a Messiah? [as people were talking about the Messianic Prophecies] 4) Will Jesus ever come down to Earth for the second time and save us from the Devil? 5) Your views on the conflict of the Anti-Christ and Christ, please.
And now we hate each other so much we call people names and be rascists example Australians call us browns and we call them monkeys, etc. You can find this out if u talk to an Indian like that [or me..]
I dont watch too much of cricket so I dont kno much abt it but what do I do? Im goin to Australia this December..
