If you've noticed an absence of my presence on the forums and profiles it's because I'm not using them any more and probably won't be for the foreseeable future.
UG has proven a source of great procrastination for me over the last couple of years, and that has been both a good thing and a bad thing, and recently it has not been holding my interest to the point where I don't really feel the urge to come back here much any more. This is possibly due in large part to the fact that many of my favourite UGers don't post as much these days and without them The Pit is just swarming with spammy noobs the mods can't seem to handle, and for me at least, that's not fun.
On the bright side not using UG the last couple of weeks I've got a lot of stuff done in my free time. I've played and completed games that I've had lying for years, started a new blog, played guitar, read books and got out of the house.
So I guess this would be farewell.
My new blog can be found at http://one-scots-thoughts.blogspot.com/ and I've been posting there more regularly than I ever did here and on a wider range of subjects. Right now I've got one in the works about the value of digital music to the consumer which will be followed up with a guide on how ro do digital music "right", I also intend to continue the Free And Legal Software Project there but in a different format, probably recommending a single program at a time as Part 2 of the project underwent 4 re-writes before I decided to end my UG blog.
