Good day ultimate-guitarists. It's Fred here, the resident UGer from Bath, in the southwest of Britain. Keeping it br00tal and heavy over here, I keep going by the wonders of my local drink, cider - preferably Bulmers - and truckloads of rare, rare enough for a vet to revive it, roast beef. I have been stereotyped on many occasions as the ultimate Englishman, that could give you an idea of me - drinks tea, talks with posh accent (so I've been told), likes hunting and shooting, obsessed with weather, you know the rest.
I keep it heavy where I live, I am one of four metalheads in my village - Combe Down - and between the four of us there is great divide on musical opinion. The metal situation doesn't really improve - in Bath, there are leagues of scene kids who shun thrash, melodic death metal and NWOBHM, calling it not metal and not heavy. Hmmm, tell me if you have the same experience; I want to know whether people in other cities and other countries have the scene problem.
Finally, I have a band with actual thrash potential and musicians who aren't flavour-of-the-month fans, true metalheads, and brilliant ones, too. Thrash 'till fucking DEATH! www.myspace.com/incarnadinethrash
MYSPACE! Add Fred of Death! www.myspace.com/fredterror
The thrash revolution will come. One day.
God of all plays solo to Descend the Shades of Night by Machine Head. Beware, crusty sound may interfere with the brilliance:
