I try recording some stuff with my playing drums at my house. I have to close the door and put my phone like 20ft away from the closed door to be able to hear everything.

LOL yeah, I can get some decent ones with mine, but when I'm practicing with my band and we want to just record something cool real quick, it's like impossible to get it to sound decent with the constant crashing of the cymbals

Nice man, how was it? Sexified to the max? I might be able to record sound clips soon when I get the amp retubed/new power supply, etc. 
I've met so many musicians here at UWO, it's crazy... it's sort of inspiring me.

Yeah, I was looking at the T rex jr. Just cause... my stupid temporary adaptor sucks and can't support my wah/chorus/EQ/OD at the same time... so...
Then I think I'll want either a noise gate or compressor. How much do you estimate the new tubes costing, if you were to ballpark it?

Got a new amp, Peavey VTM, which is a hot rodded JCM 800 copy. Got a new 2x12 for it.
The peavey was actually a ridiculous deal. Got the head and the cab for 300 bucks. |
Wow, nice man. Your rig is taking off. That amp sounds sick as fuckkkkk. For 300... that's amazing. I've heard good shit about the tonebender too. What's the electric mistress?
And I need recommendations for tubes again. I'm getting them replaced during Christmas. Just generally great all around is what I'm looking for, with a darker tone. I'll probably pick up a better power supply as well. Any idea? I think you told me before but I forget what you said to buy. :P

A - I was trying to low ball him into giving me them both for 80. He didn't need the money THAT bad.
B - I found an EHX Deluxe Electric Mistress for 40 bucks, and got a Peavey VTM (JCM800 copy) fullstack for 300. Then I got an Avatar 2x12" for 80 bucks.
So it was enough spending for me. I maaaay try and hit him up again, and see if he still has them.

It does analog well enough....but mine's pretty much on tape all the time.
