Song I wrote in 2008 when I was feeling down about a girl. I guess it still sort of has meaning to me. I wouldn't mind redoing it with my gear now, so who knows...probably have to do a new lead though, I've all but forgotten this one -_-
I was screwing around with some premade beats and whatnot, and stumbled across this neat techno sounding track and thought "Eh, what the hell? I've never soloed over something like this before so let's give it a shot," and this is the result. It's not really my favorite track, but it's definitely outside of my normal comfort zone.
Early track idea when I got into Bob Kilgore and Michael Hedges with their acoustic tapping. Originally written on the acoustic, but recorded on an electric. My tone is just terrible here, but I didn't really know any better at the time. I thought it sounded "badass." I can't really tolerate how dry it is anymore though. Still, I really liked how it built and am contemplating taking the middle part and sticking it in another song, redoing it of course.

This was a really hard track to solo over for me, it has a parallel major-minor switch each chorus and verse, which made it tricky and hard to make continuous for me....but eh, I'm still partly proud of the outcome.
A simple, but still cool, track, mellow. I was trying to see how much I could do with a lead comprised mostly of harmonics, which is how the verses are set up.
Not my favorite track. I tried to do something "metal" and this is what happened. The only parts worth listening to are the bridge and the outro, the stuff after like 2:20...I just think the solos I did are good, everything else sucks -_-
But I guess overall I'm *okay* with it.
First song I wrote on piano. Slapped a guitar part over it and this is the result. I think the guitar probably fits the best in the second movement; before and after that it seems to intrude...
