does anyone listen to/like  rap?i wasnt crazy about it at first but that was because nobody used real instruments.also many rappers and rap producers are not original anymore, they ``recycle``if you will, beats produced from other producers.old school rap was the most original i think(i love old school rap)..i respect rap because i love funk music and that is probably the closest music genre related to rap.i also now have a new respect for rap because i have since then...recorded some rap beats.they are on page under my mp3`s,feel free to check them out or rate them or whatever.keep in mind, rock and guitars are my true love, and i am not  a rap producer
:wtf:

The only thing Eminem does good is the crazy shit like "Ass Like That", etc. Other than that, rap is long gone. Its all hip-hop now. You still have your "real" rappers out there like Mos Def, Gangstar, Redman, etc. They just don't get the exposure like they used to. Almost all of hip hop uses sampled beats from rock and roll which is a fucking travesty. Hip hop is THE most talentless genre of all music. I can write some bullshit down, have a beat created by some lame ass producer and rap on it.

Ever seen when these hip hop artists perform live? They got like 20 other people rapping with them. No talent. Jay-Z was one of the few who actually used a real band when he performed live, not including the shit he did with Linkin Park. Which to my opinion was the only thing they ever did good since Hybrid Theory. Hip hop, pop, pop punk and emo are all crap that only people that have no taste in music will listen to. Its targeted to teenagers world wide. Thats why I'm glad I grew up with grunge and heavy metal.

I agree. Although there are a couple good groups out there. I like what Gymn Class Heros are doing, because its actually a band.

I am a big fan of N.W.A., Too $hort, MC 900 foot Jesus, Eazy e kind of middle school rather than old school. I also like lil wayne and some other new rap. If music is good it IS good no mater what the style. If the artist cares I will probably like it.
ALL music is emotion.
