Across the Universe was one of the best movies i've ever seen
I'm not gonna go and give my life story, so here's a short synopsis. I started playing guitar very lightly in 7th grade on my dad's acoustic. I really wasn't getting into it and it was just a side hobby. I played a school talent show as my first "gig" putting that lightly. Our amazing two song set of Beverly Hills (by Weezer) and Seven Nation Army (by the White Stripes) got good applause. After that I instantly fell in love with performing and thought that playing for a crowd was an incredible feeling. I didn't have much money at the time, since i was in about 8th grade, but I was able to buy a epiphone classic sg, cherry red finish. It's the guitar I still use today since it plays so beatifully and has been with me since the start. Soon after I got this guitar, my dad told me he had an older one in the attic that I was welcome to play. To my amazement, I opened the old case to find a vintage Fender Mustang. It was better than Christmas. The sound was indescribable and the neck was so thin from age that it was so easy to play anything. I know have been seriously playing guitar for about a year and have been in 3 bands, none which have been so incredible yet. Every day I learn new things; styles, techniques, scales, theory, ect. I'm still incredibly amazed by music and didn't realize the whole science and complexion behind it until recently. Even though I'm in love with the guitar, I'd very much like to be the lead singer of a band and still play guitar, much like Claudio Sanchez of Coheed and Cambria. Watch out for me
