This is from the thread earlier about naming/describing a movie you would like to make.
I want it to be called "Towers of Euphoria".
It will be like a modern day Fantasia; completely animated, music video-esque interpretations of the music by hand selected animators, typographers, graphic designers, etc.
The music would be predominantly experimental/ambient music, such as post metal, post rock, ambient electronic, shoegaze, etc.
A few example bands would include:
My Bloody Valentine Lush lovesliescrushing ISIS Red Sparowes Pelican Russian Circles Explosions in the Sky Godspeed You! Black Emperor Grails Boards of Canada Aphex Twin Ulrich Schnauss
etc.
It would run anywhere from 2-3 hours.
I can see a lot of this in my head, and it lives up to my (insanely creative) name. It's LITERALLY towers of sonic euphoria.
Of course, this will probably never come into fruition, but dammit if it isn't a good idea.
I mean, I really think they capture the UG style. Well, they're SUPPOSED to, but they didn't go overboard on anything, it's smooth, and it uses the base blue/black/yellow colors we've come to know and love.
Very cool indeed.
I'm positive this will grow, and become even more awesome in the near future.
