We're so glad that you're planning to contribute us with your tab(s),and your tabs will be added to ultimate-guitar tab archive if you just follow these notes
1-First of all,If you're gonna submit a tab to UG,before you start tabbing it USE SEARCH BARfor song and artist.
If we already had several versions for a tab,you should check all of them out,before you start doing that. Also check the ratings and COMMENTS.There are a lot of corrections that have been posted as a correction for some tabs.You should check the comments either. When your tab is close to existing tabs or even it's the same,it won't be accepted.
2-Artist name:
If you're trying to submit a tab by a band that is not much well known,use search bar for artist name.If the artist exists in our database,go on. If we don't have such a band in archive,you have to provide us to official website of the band.Just post a link to the website in your tab.For guitar pro or power tabs you can put the link in score information.(myspace bands allowed). In that case,that would be great if you post a link to the song in your tab for the first time
3-Formatting:
-Always use our templates for bass and guitar tab. Don't leave unnecessary comments in your tab. Don't put something like:
???... Some chords... etc
Through the tab.
-For chords,put the chords over the lyrics and make sure it will be aligned well in submit page.(Use preview button) -Gp and pt tabs.Do not just import a midi file to these softwares and immediately submit it.Fix all incomplete bars and use true instrments for each track.
4-Tab type/What part:
Select accurate tab type in submit page.
Guitar tab Chords Bass tab Guitar pro Power _________________
Whole song Intro Solo Album
Using wrong tab type or part,won't make your tab acceptable!
5-Intro/solos:
As you can see,intros and solos are not much welcomed here when we have tabs for whole song.If we don't have any tab for a song in archive,we'll accept your correct intro or solo tabs.
6-Naming:
-Check your song/artist name for spelling before you push submit button. -Do not add type of your tab in song name -Do not add something like "version 2","ver 2", "correct version","100%correct" etc
7-When you're trying to submit a tab,DO NOT rate current tab(s) low to make your tab acceptable. Don't abuse our rate system Also don't submit copyrighted,fake or corrupted tabs.
Ok, If you've followed these notes and your tab got denied,post in this thread and I'll be there
AND,if you submit a tab and it's not rejected or accepted yet,you can see status of your tab in this page(votes/Comments)

Since Tab Request Queue has been implemented now,you can find more requested tab there,if you wanna start a tab.
1-If you're not sure about a tab,DO NOT vote for it.Leave it alone.
Just vote for certain tabs. 2-That would be great if you just leave an accurate comment when you vote to reject a tab.
3-Some users try to submit a tab with a little bit change in song name or artist name and search engine won't catch that and you see the line:
Approved Tabs For song name...
Is empty! So be more picky about song and artist name before you vote. Or some people add "The" before song name or add "Band" after band name.
For example:
Tonight Tab by Fm Static Band
4-Intro and solos:
If we already had a perfect version for a tab,DO NOT vote to approve an intro or just a solo for the same song.
But!
However intro and solos are not much welcomed here,if we don't have a tab for a brand new song,approving the intro/solo is reasonable.
5-Always check the other existing version(s) before you vote:
If a tab looks right or you're trying it on your guitar,that doesn't mean it's 100% acceptable,maybe it's a copy of existing version or it's just a correction for approved tab with minor changes that automatically make it deniable.
Also for GP and PT versions.If they sound great DO NOT vote to approve them before checking the others.
6-Do not leave unfair votes/comments:
This means if someone voted to reject your tab,you shouldn't vote to reject his/her tab if it was acceptable,just for flaming.Also if someone voted to approve your tab do not vote to approve his/her tab just to be freindly. We're trying to make UG tab archive the best tab archive in the net and your correct votes help us a lot
7-Sorry to say this but:
DO NOT vote like a sheep... If you see a tab has 9 votes to approve/reject,don't vote for it before checking it yourself.
8-Spam tabs:
Do not vote for obvious spam tabs.There's no need to vote for them because they won't be accepted!
