they have a very fast thin neck, but have a thick gloss on them which may put some people off. doesn't bother me though. it is definately a bass you should try before you buy.
it is a very good bass but as i don't know what your style actually is i can't tell you whether to buy one or not.
for the record i got mine for 400 pounds second hand (but in perfect unused condition)
