Just wanted to let you guys know that I played for my dad's "Staff Appreciation Day." I played on my Les Paul and thanked everyone there (cause they all had voted for me during the contest.)
It was fun but the Texas heat is just horrible.
I also wanted to mention the time I played at my history teacher's reception and after party on her wedding day. It was really similar to today, except my teacher's son also performed. (He plays drums, and I think he's 19 or 20.)
I earned $55 tips that night. I couldn't believe it. It was offiially my first paying "gig." I spent that $55 at Guitar Center later that week.
I really hope I can continue to perform at places so I can be ready for something big! xD
Hopefully I can get a band going so I won't be a solo act
