I know there are a lot of people who limit themselves to a single genre or even subgenre of music. Personally i think doing so is just immature or shows a lack of true interest in music as a whole. I am a metal fan, i play in a metal band, and my guitars are all made for metal. But i also find joy in listening to things like jazz, classical, and other types of rock music. I honestly think that even by listening to other types of music i become a better musician as new music opens up new creative doors for me. Id recomend anyone reading this to try listening to something they have never really heard before, or never really gotten into. You never know how new music will inspire you.
He he, my range of intrests include Thrash Metal, Neoclassical Metal, Post-Grunge, Nu Metal, Blues, Jazz, Bluegrass, Country, and Ambient...I guess that's some what diverse, and I do agree with you fully.
There are some people here who have a level head. It is so annoying when people are like "screw you, metal 4 life" or some gay crap like that and dont even take time to appreciate other forms of music.
