I'm Andrew. I'm 21. I'm in college and double majoring in Music and Business. I absolutely despise Business because it suppresses all of my creativity. I play guitar all the time. I'm a recluse, i don't get out that much. I have one finger without full movement thanks to a BB shot into it. I'm speak Finnish. I'm self taught on all my instruments except piano. I don't ever fake who i am for any reason, and i wont try to impress you either. This is me and i'm okay with myself. There's a few random facts for you and all you need to know about me. If i wanted to get personal i would have, oh and stop asking if i'm available (What the hell does that even mean? Sure i may be single, but id probably choose to play guitar over talk to you....so that would make me unavailable right? =P ). This isn't myspace, grow up and lets talk music, gear, and glorious guitars.
Most of my recordings are home recordings. The demos of my actually band dont sound as good sound quality wise for a few reasons. When i record my own demos i do use a lot of samples and midi sounds (all of which i make myself). I use the Drumkit From Hell too, which is a fantastic program. I have triggers on my drum set (because my house sounds like shit with mics) and run them through a midi controller and then use the DFH plugin. So i play all the drums, but the sound you are hearing is not what my kit sound like. All of the guitar and bass is recorded through a Line6 PodXT Live, so its all direct with mic and cabinet emulation. The only time i use a mic is for acoustic guitar, which ill record direct and with a Sure SM 57 to pick up finger movement over the strings, which gives it a much more organic sound and feel. So thats how its done, its such a direct simple set up i can usually finish a song in a day or two. Mixing takes the most time out of the whole process.
