A vid of me playing a sweet little progression. I gave it a Hendrix kind of treatment.
Think "Little Wing" or "Hey Joe". A rhythm improvisation....
Ok, this vid is going to be part of a lesson I'm putting together: "How to Sweep All Over the Neck". It's NOT about technique, but about content. Basically, I'll I'm doing in this vid is sweeping "G Major" to a simple background drone in G. If you're interested, the very first part that I play slowly has the structure for everything -- The 3 prime diagonals and 3 "zig-zags" that connects any triad in a sweep-friendly way. If you watch my right hand, you'll see I'm basically just sweeping the entire time just making up some G major riffs.
Been playing guitar over 30 years. My advice to anyone learning to play the guitar: LEARN HOW TO PRACTICE! That's the MOST important skill you can learn, and THE website for how to go about it is:
