red cellular towers

if you listen closely
you still cant hear it
its every single conversation
in electricity

echoing through those cell towers
are all the plans of tomorrow
every hope of tonight
and the heartbreak of this hour

red lights in the distance
towering above everything else
a testament to our soul
that no one seems to notice

this place, surrounded by electricity
the roar that no one can hear
the confusion and conversation
coursing it's way over the city streets

this place would have been a desert
full of a sky of this confusion
but there had to be a place to go
with a parking lot first

they are a pyre two miles tall
and the rush of their energy fill the sky
and splits the horizon
and still the red light blink on and off

song idea

In the begginning there was a sphere
of a vast sky of blue
it couldn't be told whether it was far or near
there wasnt a referance point or clue
the sun though, curious, a hole it would peirce
then created noon
water leaked at first in small streams and tears
then later gushed, a hole in the roof
soon in the center something would appear
a salty, wavy brew
and while the sky was being seared
the violent concoction grew
behind the ocean the sky's blue disappeared
the sun's light couldn't shine through
though small beams like a spear
through the sea they flew
white scars mark the place they veered
and some of the night was knocked loose
while the space between was still clear
there in it's midst were specs of dew
under which, while the sun would breifly peer
a tree of life from the rock of night, grew
and from it's limbs dropped ears
to listen for a song a truth
the organs would streach to hear
like the rock was clung by the root
for tragedy they prepared with fear
they grew a brain in case it was duped
and to fool them selves, created beer
and constantly told eachother the news
and lived like this for many years
but would eventually leave to the moon
