It has been awhile since i updated my profile and since i'am stuck at home during this holiday i thought why not write a blog about Graspop 2008 which was awsome!. anyway just to name a few bands i saw:
Judas Priest, Behemoth, Yngwie Malmsteen, Testament, Kiss, Forbidden, Bleeding Through, Iron Maiden, In Flames, Arch Enemy, Madball.
If you want to check on all bands see graspop.be.
the first day i arrived it was boiling hot and the gates to the terrain opend late because of that i got a bad sunburn and a sunstroke. When the gates opend i rushed towards a booth where the nice cool shade and some water was waiting for me. after that i went to see the first band Tesla and they impressed me with some nice rock N'roll.
anyway next up Yngwie Malmsteen, since i am a big fan of malmsteen's guitar playing i thought this would be fun, but it was awfull my ears were sore after 5 minutes. he was just playing sloppy and rushing things. also he seemed to care more about spinning and throwing his guitar around then the actual playing.
whitesnake impressed me with some cool guitar licks and solo's, Def Leppard put on a great show on aswell and Testament was really cool i mean what is cooler then shouting practice what you preach.
The headliner of the first night was Judas Priest it was just magical seeing KK downing just shaking the grounds with his awsome guitar sound and rob halford with his screeching voice . they played a few songs from Nostradamus but also the old time classics it was a good show and halford just sucks you in.
